Romeo y julieta puritos This is my first ever taste of a Cuban cigar, all I have read about is how much stronger Cuban cigars are in comparison to European cigars widely stocked in the UK, Reading the word stronger you will often jump to the conclusion it means overpowering Well in this case nothing could be further from the truth. As a complete novice in the world of cigars I feel the romeo y julieta puritos perfectly eased me into the experience When I first first lit the cigar I was surprised not only by how good it smells but also the way it smokes the first part of the cigar almost feels like its rationing you a taste with a really slow mellow burn after a short while the full flavor of the cigar opens up, this is where as a novice I will struggle to describe the tastes so I will do my best. Fist of all the cigar smells very rich and somewhat chocolatey, although I wouldn't use the word chocolatey to describe the taste at all, I'd say there is a deep earthy wood flavor to the smoke that stays consistent getting slightly stronger the further down the cigar you get but not to the point it begins to taste harsh or nasty, As someone who's previous experience of cigars has only been hamlet, king Edward and villager the impression I'm left with after my first taste of a real Cuban cigar is how consistently smooth they are from start to finish and how very different this experience was from any cigar I've smoked before and that was a big factor in getting these romeo y julieta cigars I wanted to know what the big deal was, what's so good about Cuban tobacco?, well this is probably the cheapest packet of Cuban cigars available so if I was expecting anything different I wasn't expecting special, I was wrong, to say the quality of the romeo y julieta was better than the European cigars I've smoke previously would be completely missing the point I believe the difference is far greater that a comparison can't be made the two experiences are not similar in any way so that leaves this review somewhat dead until I try my next Cuban I have nothing to compare to but overall I think these are fantastic cigars and I look forward to exploring more brands in the near future I hope this review can help another novice who would like to take an interest in cigars also for those more experienced I'd love to hear your recommendations
