The "God Father" of premium cigars, E.P. Carillo launched his first full production line cigars in the Summer of 2011 and dubbed it simply Core. E.P. Carillo Core Natural starts with a blend of filler tobaccos from the Dominican Republic and Nicaragua and is topped off with an Nicaraguan binder leaf. E.P. Carillo Core Maduro is then topped off with a Ecuadorian-grown Sumatra wrapper. The end result is a Medium-to-Full bodied smoke that is complex and balanced. Expect flavors of cedar and spice with a subtle hint of cream on the finish.

Always liked this one. Performed well. A light cigar, no nice kick, a little sweetness. Good cigar

I was disappointed initially with the extreme sharpness of the flavor. It had a dry burning flavor even though it was well hydrated. But after ~15 minutes, the flavor mellowed allowing for a more enjoyable experience. The last half was more creamy with the bold richness, but the bite was there to the end. I will add this to my list to smoke again.
