  Ne tournons pas autour du pot cent sept ans, ce Toro ne m'a pas convaincu. Certes, d'aspect et de construction, le cigare est soigné, mais il pêche par sa palette aromatique étroite et guère convainquante. Les points positifs sont, hormis sa construction, un tirage parfait, une combustion correcte avec un gros volume de fumée et une cendre compacte. Les moins sont une bague tristounette, une palette restreinte à du boisé-épicé avec du cuir, une fumée assez piquante et une absence d'onctuosité ou de rondeur. Le cigare n'est pas mauvais, mais je ne peut pas dire qu'il est bon. Alors? Son utilité réside dans son apport en nicotine pour les toxicos ou sa participation à stabiliser l'humidité de son humidor. Toutefois laissons lui une chance pour retenter la dégustation afin d'infirmer ou de confirmer cet avis.

  Age/Rest: 38 Days Pre-light: A sweet coffee, hay and a touch of earthy aromas. A medium colour wrapper, tight seams, visible veins. A crack near the cap and a smaller sized cap. The Toast: A fairly even toast within 20-25 seconds. The Draw: A touch of the firm side but still good. The Burn: Started off good, a fairly even burn to start. Needed a couple touch ups around the first to second transition. Ash is small chunks. The First Third: A sweet nut flavour is dominant, a touch of hay, very light earth and touch of spice dances on the tongue. A very nice smooth finish. The Second Third: The sweetness has faded a bit, more toasted oat coming through with a slight sweet touch once every few puffs. The Final Third: Mostly hay, nuts and earth in the final third. Overall: A tasty cigar with many changes but the construction left a lot to be desired, would try again.

  Good notes of pepper and wood. Didn't smoke this myself but definitely going to buy another to try
