A. J. FERNANDEZ · NICARAGUA
New World
4.1★★★★★4.1· 74 ratingsMedium-Full
The New World Cigar is very special to A.J.’s heart as it is the first cigar he has created together with his father, Ismael Fernandez. Named in honor of the discovery of tobacco by the Christopher Columbus expedition in 1492, New World is a medium to full bodied cigar with an amazing aroma. Smokers of New World will experience elements of sweetness, spiciness in a very balanced and refined cigar. A.J. Fernandez is looking for New World to be a first class cigar that can be a daily source of enjoyment.

Really enjoyed! Spicy in the beginning, but goes to a more coffee flavour in the middle and end. Never had to relight. Smoked for about 1 hour 15 minutes. Easy draw, lots of smoke with a pretty straight burn. Enjoyed and went well with a cup of coffee.spent about 31/2 months in the humidor. Definitely would smoke again!

Age/Rest: 69 Days Pre-light: Aromas of cocoa, manure and cedar. A rectangular box press, firm pack, tight seams, minimal veins. A small triple cap torpedo. A nice deep brown brown wrapper. A lighter weighted stick for its size. The Toast: Easy quick toast. The Draw: A smooth easy slightly lose draw. The Burn: A few touch ups here and there, mostly for eye appeal. The First Third: A very bitter bold spice is dominant at the start, very unpleasant. After a half inch, the bitterness is still there but reduced a touch. Heavy earth is hitting the back of the tongue and throat. Although improved not near enough for my palette to this point. The Second Third: Mostly earth, wood and leather. Deep bold flavours not as smooth as I'd like but improved over the first third. The Final Third: Much of the same compared to the second third. Overall: Too much bitterness at the start, too much earth. Try again when my palette changes.

good, medium-full flavored stick. has a nice feel with good earthy tone, rich taste while burning
- @steve22016-01-11
Spicy and savoury. The high notes are pepper and burnt oak. Needs a second draw to keep in the peek.
