Age Rest: 75 Days Pre-light: Consistent colour, a few veins and seams visible. Firm to the touch. The wrapper has a smooth very light texture to it. A loosely closed foot. The aromas cold are of earth and bread - sourdough. The Toast: The toast was surprisingly quick for a closed foot while a light breeze was present. The Draw: The larger ring gauge requires a slight double puff but the draw is good, not loose or tight. The cigar almost went out at the mid point of the third. The Burn: A clean burn through the first third. The second has a very rough burn creating a slight exterior tunnel. As the final third starts the burn self corrects. As the burn progresses the wrapper begins to show slight cracks. The First Third: A slight harshness that his the back of the throat. The flavours are earthy though the first third, a very slight and mild pepper finish that doesn't last long. Near the end a light dough/bread flavour enters. The aromas are similar of bread baking, a pleasant smell that matches the taste. The Second Third: The flavours start the same as the first finishes but as the second progresses, the notes of bread fade a little. The Final Third: The nicotine starts to flex it's muscle and makes a large entrance. The flavours lean more towards heavy of the bead, almost a yeast start with a light mint note then a very mild pepper finish. Overall: The cigar started harsh and then really gained steam after the first inch. Never really bitter but a little on the young side. Smoke time 1.5 hours to 1.75 hours.
