Davidoff cigars are known all over the world for their immaculate onstruction, their exquisite blending of the finest tobaccos, and being exclusive and hard-to-find. Davidoff Escurio is the follow-up to the highly rated Davidoff Nicaragua cigar, and is handcrafted at the company’s factory in Santiago, Dominican Republic. As with Davidoff Nicaragua, the blending of this cigar was guided by Henke Kelner and Eladio Diaz, and this blend was created to be spicy-sweet. The Davidoff Escurio is draped with an oily and dark Ecuador Habano wrapper with a Brazilian cubra binder and Brazilian cubra, Brazilian mata fina, Dominican San Vicente, piloto, and olor/piloto secos long-fillers. Expect a well-constructed, slow-burning, medium bodied cigar with plenty of complexity. Your palate will dance a lively Samba with rhythmic notes including leather, cream, cinnamon, and nutmeg. Première dégustation de la série Escurio de Davidoff avec ce Gran Perfecto. Comme souvent avec la maison Davidoff, ce cigare bénéficie d'une construction impeccable et magnifique. Le touché est ferme et doux. La cape sent le cuir et le pied un mélange boisé et floréal. Démarrage doux sur des notes peu communes de pain grillé avec de légères épices. Par la suite, le pain grillé s'accompagne de beurre faisant de belles tartines gourmandes. Les épices se font plus presentes sans cacher les belles tartines. La palette évolue sur un bois humide avec une montée de notes terreuses suivies d'un joli cuir neuf. Le café crème accompagné un peu de noix et de boisé remplace le côté terreux. Un gros dégazage au début du dernier tiers permet de finir avec un café crème avec de la noisette. Cigare bon à la palette complexe.

Robuste aux arômes de terre. Un peu de poivre au début, puis du vieux cuire. Un milieu plutôt creux, mais un bon final. Bon cigare mais un peu cher.
