Even burn, good smoke medium to full maduro

Age/Rest: 329 Days Pre-light: A nice light marble looking wrapper, a softer feeling pack, large and noticeable seams with a large triple cap. Heavy citrus aromas and an open draw on the cold draw test. The Toast: A quick even toast with a triple torch. The Draw: An open draw, not pulling too much smoke early on. Draw stays open through the second. The Burn: Mostly even, occasionally a little wavy. The First Third: Early on, dry roasted nuts, a light cocoa finish. The finish doesn't last long. The Second Third: Not much change. Same as the first third. The Final Third: Again no change. Overall: The cigar is okay, it didn't wow me. Not sure I'd purposely seek these out, as part of a sampler maybe.

Dark with an oily wormy skin, smooth earthy taste from start to finish with a hint of pepper

    Amazing smooth and strong coffee/chocolate.

Smooth draw. Dark chocolate flavors with some earthy notes and a hint of spice and leather.

Odd, almost poopy smell to the wrapper. Kind of waxy like a Partagas Black. Lit almost perfectly and burned evenly. Draw was a bit tight but loosened up nicely. Notes of dark chocolate a hints of earthiness. Not the best flavor but all around a very good quality cigar. The Edmundo was a bit too short but the Churchill was a tad too long. The No. 2 Torpedo would probably be just right.

    not bad

Draw was too tight: even with a straight cut and attempt to loosen by rolling, I still had to put a lot of effort in the draw. Great flavor, aroma and quality.

In typical Montecristo fashion, the draw was a bit tight but it did free up quite a bit. It was a really good, somewhat flavorful smoke. The Churchill size was just way too much.

Only took 6 months of rest, but the media noche is finally decent.
